Blake Interview
I was the interviewer and I interviewed Blake. I didn't have any preparation for this interview so the questions were off the top of my head. We didn't get as much film as I would've liked to, but Blake was good about answering questions so it all worked out. My only regret is that i didn't have Blake go into depth about any of the things he talked about so the interview jumps around a little bit. Blake knew the drill already so he was good about not looking at the camera and was really good about repeating the questions back so that the interview flowed really well. This was also the first time I've color corrected a video and I think it turned out well.
Camera Work
Being Interviewed
I was the director of photography in Blake's interview with Jarrett. It was my first time working with a 7D camera. I used the focusing trick the Muench showed us where you zoom in really close and focus on the eyebrows then zoom out and the person is in focus. The Rhode mic worked fine as expected and I made sure to test the sound before we filmed. There's a little background noise which could have been minimized, but we didn't think it would have much effect.
Being interviewed by Bri was just like any other interview I've ever done. I have experience so I knew to look at Bri not the camera and I knew to repeat the question back when answering the question. I don't have to worry about anything because I know Bri won't make me look bad. There was a sound background noise every once in an while so I stopped talking and waited before talking again.
