Deadpool Behind The Scenes

For one of the first scenes that was a fight on the middle of a highway bridge, you can see how the bridge was closed down and used while traffic went on around it.

In the scene there is a tall and bulky man made of metal. You see how they pulled it off with the silver suit that they can make look like metal during editing. While the camera is on one person, you can hear everyone else reading their lines so the people being filmed know exactly when to do their lines.

In the filming of one of the later scenes in the movie, it was really wet out. You can see how all of the big cameras and equipment has plastic bags over it.

The scene also involves a lot of fighting and you can see how the actors prepared it on scene. The picture i have is of the woman practicing her kick with one of the people working on the film. There are also giant fans used so you can see the hair and costumes flutter in the wind. The scene has one of the actors running into another while in a flaming ball of fire. This was captured using a harness attached to the actor running with a giant camera following her. The special effects of the fire and explosions are obviously added in during editing. With the iconic superhero landing off of like 20 stories that the villain does. You see her step off the ledge and down a couple feet onto a big matt. Later in the scene when the sword is propelled through someone. They use a strap that goes around the stomach with half of a sword on each end.

Since it's a giant parking and cargo structure that falls, the whole ground area is covered with green so that it can be edited. The main characters love interest falls of the cargo structure while in a pod like capsule. This is pulled off in front of a large green screen, the actress gets in it while it is suspended on a slant and all of the background stuff is added i later. I think it's amazing how it looks as if it's falling at least 20 stories even though the filming is just barely off the ground.

It’s interesting how they filmed swords being pulled out of their holster. When the main character went to reach for them, a worker took them off his back and handed him a separate pair with blood on them. They film the weapons being thrown by doing their motions and pretending like they have invisible weapons being hurled through the air.
