Advanced Questions

What areas of cinema have you become more proficient in since you took this class?

I have definitely gotten better at seeing what color lighting and what angles look the best along with how to get the desired shadows. Since starting cinema, I've gotten more comfortable being in-front of the camera. I've also gotten a lot better at editing since I've started.
What areas of cinematography need improvement (how will you make this happen?—be explicit and thoughtful in your writing.

I'm alright at using the cameras, but I need to work on being able to use the non basic functions on them like shutter speed. What I need to work the most on is sound. I really still have no idea how to do separate sound, I know I need to use the Tazcam, but I have no idea how.

What was your work ethic like when you first took class?

When I first started this class I had a really god work ethic. I followed every assignment and completed everything. The only thing I didn't put a lot of effort into was the movie reviews.
What do you expect your work ethic to be like this semester? (If it is different—what will you do to insure that you work harder?) What types of films do you want to make this semester?

Most of the things I've learned, I've learned from watching other students. I want to change that this year and mess around with the cameras in my off time so I can teach myself to be better operating them. I really want to make a commercial this year. They are just a lot of fu to plan and make and then to watch.
